Fotografske mape Vila Dalmacija
It gives me great pleasure to announce that my Villa Dalmacija analogue photographic series are available for purchase in the Museum of Fine Arts’ shop. Apart from the museum shop, the maps are also availabe in the Arterija concept store located in the Diocletian palace.
Maps with different motifs come in three dimensions depicting the Villa Dalmacija Complex. This former residence of the Yugoslav President Tito is still closed to the public three decades after the collapse of all Communist walls in Europe, and its beauty remains hidden even from the citizens of Split. Close-ups of the interior, Tito’s unaltered bedroom, dining room or salon for diplomatic soirées, are immersed in an ambient of green-blue splendour that dominates this part of the protected cultural landscape of the Marjan Forest Park, evoking the spirit of the period of Socialism as well as visions of some brighter future.
Thus far, “Villa Dalmacija” photographic series was shown in its entirety as part of my solo exhibitions SPLIT ★ ★ ★ THREE STARS in the Salon Galić Gallery in Split in 2017 and VILLA DALMACIJA at Photo Gallery Lang in Samobor in 2018. Later on it was participating at many group shows in prominent galleries and art manifestations such as The 52nd Zagreb Salon, The Unaligned Exhibition in the Lauba House for People and Art in Zagreb, The 60th Poreč Annals, The Other City exhibition in Museum of Modern Art Dubrovnik and Fine Art Gallery Split.
The edition is limited to 20 copies for each map.
